Business Owners Revolting; Blocks In Health Inspectors Vehicle: ‘If We Can’t Work, Now You Can’t Work’

Businesses all over the country have had enough. A California restaurant owner has gone viral, for fighting back against the local health department who tried to keep his business closed.

The video, which has gone viral, shows Carlos Roman, owner of Bread and Barley’s in Covina, California, with his vehicle parked directly behind the inspector, so he can’t leave. This event took place following the public health inspector issuing a ‘Notice Of Closure’ to Roman’s restaurant for defying Governor Newsom’s covid restrictions on outdoor dining.

In the video, you can hear the owner telling him the police that “if we can’t work, then he can’t work” and frustrated says “this is what happens when people get desperate. I’m desperate.” he said. “Who’s going to pay her car payment?” in reference to his worker, who can’t make a living.

This isn’t the first time business owners have fought back. Recently a business in Buffalo, NY fought back and chased the health department out of a gym.
