The win for restaurants keeps getting bigger. New York State will now recognize the court victory for all restaurants in Erie County and allow them to operate under yellow zone restrictions.
Earlier this morning Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said the Erie County Health Department would do the same. At that time however, the SLA, which is a State agency, was not. Meaning restaurants could have indoor dining, but alcohol would have to be served outside.
With the acknowledgement from the state, restaurants may now serve indoors.
A tweet from Erie County Minority Leader Joseph Lorigo acknowledged the update as well.
UPDATE: News8 Rochester reporting that this applies to restaurants in Monroe County also.
